Pastoral Residents & Internships

The Residency is a 22-month leadership development program for emerging leaders who are already called to vocational ministry and want to further grow their talent and skills through participating in hands-on leadership experiences and learning environments.

Residents have leadership opportunities in a primary ministry environment but also gain exposure to all areas of church ministry and leadership. Our pastoral residency program is perfect for that 3rd or 4th years seminary student close to graduation. Our goal is for residents to be prepared for pastoral leadership in the local church.

For more information, visit our leadership development page.

For questions, contact Jason Stein.

  • Internship

    Part-Time15-20 hours per week

The Intern program is a one-year opportunity to gain vocational discernment, ministry experience, and core competency skills for ministry in the local church. While interns work within a specific ministry environment, interns also participate in shared experiences alongside other IBC interns in a cohort model. Our goal is that interns will develop a clearer understanding of God’s calling for their life, gain valuable ministry experience, and feel equipped to take their next steps. Current openings:
