Inclement Weather Shelter
As Needed | When the temperature drops below 32 degrees.
The goal of the Inclement Weather Plan is to provide emergency shelter for Irving street homeless living without a warm, dry, and safe place to escape the weather extremes.
Food Pantry Volunteer
Ongoing Opportunity | 3rd Saturday of the Month | 10 am to 12 pm.
Crisis Ministries provides groceries several times a year to thousands of individuals and their families. Neighbors are offered an opportunity to shop for their specific dietary needs and likes. This brings dignity to the process and allows them more time to know their neighbors. Additionally they provide a daily meal bag to road warriors.
Stock the Care Closet
IBC’s Care Closet is filled with shelf-stable food and other necessities for families in need. Our Care Closet is 100% funded by financial and in-kind donations to IBC. To purchase items to keep the pantry stocked, click below to shop our Amazon wishlist, which we update weekly.
Mentoring 4th Graders
Ongoing Opportunity | Farine Elementary School | One Friday a Month.
Partner with Academy 4 and be a mentor to a 4th grader at Farine Elementary. 90 minutes a moth.
Dates: November 11, December 2, January 13, February 17, March 24, April 14, May 5

Teaching English as a Second Language(ESL)
Ongoing Opportunity | Wednesday Nights from 6:15 to 8:15 pm.

Youth Development and Mentoring
Ongoing Opportunity | Tuesdays & Thursdays or As Available.
MENTORS and POSITIVE role models for YOUTH in 5th-12th grades including teen parents. Giving your time to lend a listening ear, encouragement, consistency to help youth find the support, accountability, and motivation to break cycles and dream big!

Feed the Homeless
Ongoing Opportunity| Thursdays @ 4:30 – 6:30 | 2620 W. Grauwyler Rd., Irving, 75061.
Volunteer with Many Helping Hands for their Thursday Ministry and help feed the homeless. This is a great chance for older kids, teens, and adults to serve with their families.
Homeless Day Center
Ongoing Opportunity | Mon, Wed, Fri @ 10 am-2 pm | 2700 Finley Rd #B, Irving, TX 75062.
Day Center for Road Warriors needing a meal, a shower, time away from the outside, a load of laundry, etc. Many opportunities are available!
