Discipleship Cohort Kickoff

If you're a follower of Jesus, God wants do a transforming work in and through you. In a Discipleship Cohort, you'll find community that will help you pursue holistic Christlikeness, learning and exploring what it looks like to love God with your heart, soul, strength, and mind.

Cohorts are open to individuals as well as existing formation groups, and you're welcome to sign up with a friend or spouse. New groups will kick off on September 7, 2025 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and meet on Sunday afternoons (alternating IBC and group homes) through June 2026.

What people are saying about the Discipleship Cohort:

"This has been so much more than another Bible study or small group. This discipleship cohort has introduced new spiritual rhythms into my life in a way that has felt approachable and even exciting, thanks to the community with whom I get to take this journey. Learning and growing together has not only provided helpful accountability and motivation, but has also encouraged my faith." - Alli

"As a new member to IBC in the last year, the Discipleship Cohort has helped to not only introduce me to new people I might not have otherwise met and get to know them on a deep, personal level, but also shown me how to practically deepen my walk with God and challenge me with new ideas and practices. I now have good friends after just a short period of time and have had the chance to interact and learn from IBC’s senior leadership through their in-depth sessions on topics including the Heart, Idolatry and the overall Christian narrative found in scripture." - Stephen

"It wasn’t until coming to IBC that I learned that there is more to being a Christian than just accepting Jesus as my savior, but there isn’t an obvious, step-by-step guide that tells me exactly what I need to do or who I need to become to be a disciple of Jesus. This cohort is providing me with the opportunity to think critically about how I can grow as a disciple through learning how to love God with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength in a safe, community-based setting where it’s okay to say that I don’t already know exactly how to love God in all of those ways." - Sereena
