Child Dedication

IBC’s upcoming Child Dedication will take place during the 10:45 a.m. service on Sunday, March 9. We ask that you also attend the required child dedication class on Wednesday, March 5 from 7-7:45 p.m. via Zoom.
Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly declare their intention and commitment to be people who “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength,” and to be the primary disciple makers of their children, in accordance with Deuteronomy 6:4-9:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I have given you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gate.”
In response to this public declaration, the people of IBC commit to partnering with parents and caregivers through prayer, spiritual formation, and celebration.
