Serve Locally

God calls us as his church to share the grace and compassion of Jesus with our neighbors. Below you’ll find opportunities to serve others and meet local needs in the name of Jesus.

Ways to Serve

  • Current Needs of Our Local Partners

We use our resources and work with many local nonprofits that allow us to care for our neighbors, have an impact in our community, and share the hope of Christ in a tangible way. Find ways to serve during the pandemic.

  • Thanksgiving Bag Collection

    Sundays, November 1, 8, and 15

Many of our neighbors face the challenge of food insecurity, and that is why every year at this time we come together to provide Thanksgiving meals for local families in need. Because of our SchoolWorks and our partnership with local schools, we know that about 80 percent of students in those schools are considered economically disadvantaged. In light of that, we want to provide a Thanksgiving meal for their families in the name of Jesus. Our goal is 600 meals, so we need you to join in if you’re able.

Fill up a bag and drop it off in Town Square by November 15.

  • Red Cross Blood Drive

    Thursday, December 3, 11 a.m - 5 p.m.IBC Alcove

In response to the needs of our medical community, IBC is once again partnering with the American Red Cross to host a series of Blood Drives. The next blood drive will take place on October 1 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the IBC Alcove. In an effort to limit the number of people in the building and to allow proper social distancing, the IBC building will only be accessible during the drive to those with scheduled blood donation appointments and only during their allotted time. Only the individual giving blood is able to attend the appointment. Please plan to wear a face-covering while in the building.
