Stories of Transformation

Your investment is changing lives.

Thank you for praying for, caring for, and investing in stories of transformation that happen in and through Irving Bible Church. God has given us incredible opportunities to make disciples and serve our city.

Launching Into 2021

At the end of 2020, our goal is to raise $1.8 million in order to make significant, strategic investments in four key areas:

  • Complete the Next Up Renovation
  • Global Mission Partners
  • Local Mission Partners
  • Outreach & Multiplication

Let’s go a little deeper into each of those areas to see the impact your generosity can make.

Complete the Next Up Renovation

As we’ve shared throughout the year, we had all the funds for construction costs in hand when the Next Up renovation work began, but we still need more than $1 million for furniture, fixtures, and equipment in order to complete the project. Finishing this project well means that in 2021 we will get to welcome kids, students, and their parents into ministry spaces that are secure, inviting, and designed for connection and discipleship.

Global Mission Partners

Irving Bible Church has always had a heart to provide support to missionaries and mission organizations as the gospel is shared around the world. This year has created new needs and opportunities, and we want to respond. Specifically, we can help Serve Hope expand their Emprede program for developing entrepreneurs that is established Honduras and is launching in Guatemala. We can help SEEK Partners support the urgent material needs of ministry families in northwest India as they share the love of Jesus with their neighbors. We can help Lead Liberia and Water Is Basic build a new water well for clean water in a community that desperately needs it. We can help Targeted Aquaponic Growth develop two research & training centers in Uganda that would provide more sustainable food systems for orphanages and children’s homes. Finally, we can help Peter and Tatiana Mitskevich, missionaries in Moscow, establish a retreat center for pastoral ministry families in Russia.

Local Mission Partners

We know God is calling us to help meet needs right here in our city, so we’re excited to help the Kinwest Medical Clinic move into new space right here on IBC’s campus, as well as help Many Helping Hands establish their new day facility as a means of addressing homelessness in Irving.

Outreach & Multiplication

We are committed to nviting people to trust and follow Jesus, and join his mission at IBC. We’re also committed to multiplying disciples, leaders, and churches as we seek to reach our city. To this end, we get to support our own Moses Uvere as he begins a church planting residency with The Well Church of Keller—a church IBC helped plant more than five years. We also get to support another of our previous church plants, The Grove Church in Aledo, as they move into a new building and bring on a student pastor to expand their ministry. We’re also investing in events and experiences designed to introduce our neighbors who don’t know Jesus to the hope we have in him.

We are praying and planning for what God will do in 2021 with great anticipation. Your giving makes ministry and mission possible year-round, and especially in these days, so thank you for your generosity as we pursue our year-end goal and these important 2021 initiatives.
