We provide Reading Buddies to help students who are reading below their grade level. In a one-on-one atmosphere, volunteers allow the child to read to them and encourage them with each accomplishment. It helps to build the student’s self-confidence and give them a new appreciation for reading.
We provide Lunch Buddies to students who are in need of a positive adult influence in their life. During the middle school years, students are making decisions and building attitudes toward school and authority that will determine the direction of their life. Providing people who can give sound advice, wisdom and a caring heart can help students see the possibilities of making positive choices.
We partner with several organizations that will and train and prepare you to mentor and meet regularly with at-risk students, serving as a support in the issues and pressures they face.
