Frequently Asked Questions

What is Homecoming? Is it for adults? What about kids?

Homecoming is a celebration, and it’s for everyone! Join us Sunday, August 29, as we celebrate the joy of being together. We will worship together from 10:45 a.m. - 12 p.m., and after the service we’ll provide free food, music, a photo booth, inflatables and games for the kids, guided tours of our newly renovated space, a self-guided ministry prayer tour, and connection opportunities. Oh, and there will also be some amazing giveaways! It’s going to be a great day, so we hope to see you there.

Do I need to sign up?

Nope! Just make it a point to be here on Sunday the 29th.

How should I dress?

There’s no need for a suit or your best dress—feel free to dress casually and comfortably. Some elements of the Homecoming celebration require a little movement, plus some will be located outside. And hey, our staff and volunteers will be wearing T-shirts …

Should I wear a face mask?

That’s up to you. We strongly encourage you to wear a mask indoors, but our campus is mask-optional. To help protect our guests, our staff and volunteers will wear face masks while they’re serving. In our worship center, every other row of seats will be closed in order to provide adequate distancing AND we will maintain a section of mask-only seating in the balcony.

Where do I park?

Our parking lots accessible from Regent Blvd and Ridgepoint Drive will be open on Sunday, but our parking lot on Kinwest Pkwy will be closed to vehicles. This Kinwest lot is where the food and drinks, inflatables, and games will be located after the worship service.

What food will be available? After all, the celebration is taking place at lunchtime …

We’re glad you asked! We’re going to provide chicken tikka masala, rice & grilled vegetables, tacos, hot dogs, and water to drink (all located outside), as well as snow cones (located in the youth area). If you’re still hungry, you can also purchase dessert items from the ice cream trucks we will have on hand.

What is the Family Worship space?

We are not providing dedicated Kids Ministry on Sunday the 29th, but we know it’s a challenge for some kids to make it through the entire worship service in the Worship Center. In the Commons (the north end of the building), we are hosting a Family Worship space in which the worship service will be simulcast and families can sit at tables. There will be arts & crafts for the kids to enjoy while parents engage with the music and message. (And yes, parents can try their hand at the arts & crafts, too …)
